It have been already 85 years passed, since that day when the first graduates left the walls of the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University "alma mater". Having established as the leading teaching staff into the new millennium, our university is being formed as a unique university, authoritative scientific and educational center. Over the years the world has changed, our country changed. Abai KazNPU changed, too. Institutes began to appear in its structure which aimed for the future of our country. One of them is our Institute. Today IM&PhD implements 51 Majors of MA educational programs and PhD students are taught on 11 scientific and educational specialties, there are also intensive language training programs in 7 foreign languages. In the structure of the Institute, there are nine departments, three research institutions, teaching and research laboratories, educational centers.

Institute provides great opportunities for postgraduate education in various fields of modern education, psychology, international relations, history, philosophy, religious studies, cultural studies, Oriental studies, political science, economics, law, management and other fields. Our institute carries out serious research work and it has extensive international connections which are actively involved in social and political life of our country.

But the main peculiarity of the Institute is not only that our graduates receive an excellent education, in line with international educational and scientific standards based on the best traditions of high school. With broad-minded and profound professional knowledge, absorbing the special atmosphere of our university, the graduates become people who are capable of state thinking, realize national interests of the Republic of Kazakhstan, ready to participate in its state activities.

This approach is necessary in the field of education, in which the most part of graduates of Abai KazNPU are involved, and in a business, where without a serious and in-depth analysis of the political and economic success is simply impossible. Therefore, our graduates have been and will remain as preferable candidates for any responsible positions. They work decently in the field of education of the state executive branches, banks, commercial organizations and etc.

We pay special attention to the preparation of teacher training specialists for the regions of Kazakhstan. Today our Institute of Masters and PhD Doctoral programs of Abai KazNPU trains professionals with postgraduate education from regional pedagogical universities and scientific research institutions on target agreements. These are teachers, biologists, chemists, historians, mathematicians, physicists, computer science engineers who have knowledge and high qualifications from the universities, who will focus on the effective and comprehensive development of the country.

Since its foundation, our university is among the most famous and prestigious universities in the country. It has remained as one of the best recognized leaders of higher education till today. We are not only training highly qualified, intellectual personnel, political and business elite of the country. We are preparing the future of Kazakhstan.
